Two separate payment relationships
Your PayHere merchant account collects customer payments for your store. MyTradevia’s merchant account collects your platform invoices. Connecting a seller gateway does not configure MyTradevia subscriptions and does not give MyTradevia permission to charge the seller’s card automatically.
1. Prepare your business website
Publish real products with accurate prices and complete descriptions. Add your business name, phone, email and postal address. Publish your own Terms, Privacy and Returns policies. Remove unfinished starter content. Review the official PayHere application process linked below for the latest eligibility and document requirements.
2. Apply and choose a plan
Apply directly with PayHere using your business and bank information and provide the evidence they request. PayHere decides approval and settlement terms. Lite supports one-time payments; the provider’s current limits and fees are listed on its website. Choose a plan that fits your payment volume and check limits before launch.
3. Approve the integration domain
In your PayHere account, open Integrations and add the domain used by your MyTradevia payment checkout. Request approval and obtain its Merchant Secret. The Merchant ID identifies your account; the Merchant Secret is specific to the approved domain. Confirm the actual checkout domain when using a custom store domain.
4. Connect in MyTradevia
Open Payments from your owner dashboard. Enter the Merchant ID and Merchant Secret in the PayHere settings. Use sandbox credentials with sandbox mode for testing. Save and run the available validation, then enable card payments when ready. Local credential validation alone does not prove that PayHere approved your account or that a payment succeeded.
5. Test the complete flow
Use PayHere’s sandbox to test successful, cancelled and failed checkout. Confirm the order remains unpaid until the server notification is verified. The notification URL must be publicly accessible; localhost cannot receive provider callbacks. Check order totals, currency and the transaction record. Keep real card details out of test messages and logs.
6. Go live and reconcile
After PayHere approval, enter the correct live credentials and disable sandbox mode. Confirm HTTPS and public callback access. Perform a controlled live transaction and verify its status and later settlement in your merchant account. Reconcile provider references, fees and bank deposits against store records.
Refunds and provider limits
Refund automation needs additional PayHere API credentials and any required server authorization. A successful refund request and the customer receiving the funds are separate events. PayHere controls fees, payment limits, settlement schedules and disputes. Contact PayHere about account limits and provider settlement issues.
Paying your MyTradevia subscription
Lite is compatible with monthly one-time invoice payments. MyTradevia emails invoices before renewal and you complete Pay now each time. It does not store a card authorization for future collection. PayHere Plus or Premium recurring capabilities require a separate recurring integration before automatic subscriptions can be offered.
